On the 5th September, 2008, the delegation of the Republic of Portugal led by Maria Cavaco Silva, the wife of the Portuguese President, accompanied by her suite, visited our museum. The rare visit was received by Gerard Meulensteen and his wife Riky who show¬ed them the museum and introduced them to the exhibiting artist Peter Pollág. The concert of the Portuguese singer Marizi Nunez, an interpreter of the Fado style, was held at the Reduta and the representatives of the Danubiana were also invited.
